Trades marketing · Prince George, BC · across Canada

Trades marketing for 1 to 15 person shops.

For owner-operators still on the tools, usually 1 to 5 trucks and two or more years in, whose word of mouth has started to slow. A plumber, a roofer, a hydrovac operator and a cleaner each need something different from Google first. Find yours below, with the price.

From $495

A month for CORE. Less than one service call.

30 days

Written notice to leave. Month to month, no cancellation fee, everything stays in your name.

1 per town

One client per trade per town. I will not take your competitor.

15 max

Retainer clients, a hard cap, so the person who answers stays me.

I know the North. Based in Prince George, so “near me” meaning Quesnel is not news to me.

If you work with your hands and your customers find you on Google, send me your profile link. I’ll tell you in two lines whether it fits and where you would start.

In depth

Five kinds of Trades. Each one starts somewhere different.

For each one: who it is, why you buy, what I set up first and what it costs. Anywhere in Canada, starting with Prince George and the Hwy 16 / 97 corridor: Quesnel, Vanderhoof, Mackenzie, Fort St. James, Burns Lake.

01 · Emergency and service trades

When the furnace quits at 6 pm, be the first name on the map.

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, appliance repair, locksmiths, towing.

Why you buy

Nobody shops around with water on the floor. They search, look at the map and call the first name that picks up. “Near me” searches show the map 100% of the time (Search Engine Journal, 2025), so the job goes to whoever is on it and answers first.

What I set up first

  • Your Google Business Profile kept active: weekly posts, photos, Q&A, review replies
  • A call tracking number with recordings, so you can hear every call the profile sends
  • Hosting, security, updates and small edits for your site
  • A one-page report each month: calls, where each came from, which ones booked

Start with

CORE

$495 / month

Less than one service call a month.

No site worth keeping yet? The HiVis Launch build comes first: $3,900, one invoice.

02 · Exterior and seasonal trades

Booked by April. Every year.

Roofers, pavers, excavation, landscaping, snow removal, pressure washing, fencing, decks.

Why you buy

The year is made in a few months. Referrals dry up right when the slow period starts, and by the time the season opens, customers have booked whoever showed up first. The calls have to be lined up before the rush, in every town your trucks can reach.

What I set up first

  • A service-area page for every town you serve: Quesnel, Vanderhoof, Mackenzie, Burns Lake and Fort St. James for a Prince George shop
  • A review engine: an automatic review request after each job
  • Google Local Services Ads, managed, if your trade is eligible
  • Everything in CORE: the Google profile, call tracking and the monthly report

Start with

PLUS

$995 / month

About one roof repair a month.

Want Google and Meta ads for the busy months? Move up to PRO ($1,495 a month, ad spend from your own card) for the season, then back to PLUS when it slows. It takes a sentence in an email.

03 · Project and renovation

Fewer tire kickers. Customers who have already seen your work and your reviews.

General contractors, renovators, kitchen and bath, flooring, painters, drywall.

Why you buy

These customers compare quotes, and they judge you on photos and reviews before they ever call: 91% of customers read reviews before picking a contractor (ACHR News, 2024). You want the bigger jobs and fewer estimates donated to price shoppers, so the site does the sorting before the phone rings.

What I set up first

  • A project gallery built from your own jobs
  • Your Google reviews on your own site, from a live review feed
  • A review request system, so every finished job asks for one
  • Service pages for the work you want more of

HiVis Launch

$3,900 once

One invoice

About 24 hours of your own labour at a $165 an hour shop rate.

Live in 21 working days from content received, with everything in your name at handover.

04 · Industrial and commercial services

Look like a sub that can bid Blackwater. Coverage map, certs, references, on one page.

Welders, fabricators, asbestos removal, hydrovac, mobile mechanics, equipment repair.

Why you buy

The person deciding is a prime contractor or a site manager checking whether you can be trusted on their job. Blackwater Phase 2 ($1.44B) ramps up from mid-2026 for about two years, with 1,500 construction jobs at peak (CKPG), and the UHNBC acute care tower is a $1.58B build (Infrastructure BC). The subs who look ready get the call.

What I set up first

  • A credibility site: what you do, the area you cover, the jobs you have done
  • A coverage map, with a page for each town you work out of
  • Your WorkSafeBC clearance and your COR certificate, if you hold one, up front
  • References and project write-ups a site manager can check

HiVis Launch

$3,900 once

One invoice

About 24 hours of your own labour: three days on the tools.

Not ready to build? The HiVis Blueprint is $297: a written plan you can hand to anyone, credited in full against a Launch within 90 days.

05 · Home services

Stop renting leads from Angi. Own the search instead.

Cleaning, junk removal, moving, pest control, auto repair and detailing.

Why you buy

You are on the same searches as the franchises and the lead platforms. A shared lead is rented, and the same customer gets called by everyone else who paid for it. Your own profile, your own reviews and your own number send the customer straight to you, and they stay yours if you ever leave.

What I set up first

  • Your Google Business Profile, kept active every week
  • A review engine: an automatic review request after each job
  • Google Local Services Ads, managed, if your trade is eligible
  • Call tracking, so you can see which calls came from where

When Trades call me

It usually starts with one of these.

Six moments, in your words, in the order Trades say them most. Each one points to a different place to start.

1

The phone stopped ringing.

Word of mouth still works, but it now gets checked on Google first. A referral who cannot find you on the map calls the next name.

Usually starts with CORE

2

I hired a crew and need to keep the guys busy.

Payroll does not stop in the slow weeks. More towns, more reviews and enough calls to feed the crew between the big jobs.

Usually starts with PLUS

3

I want out of the office and back in the field.

I run the profile, the site and the reporting. You read one page a month, pick up the phone and get back in the truck.

Usually starts with CORE

4

A bigger shop’s ads are everywhere.

You are losing bids you used to win. You do not need their budget: you need to be on the map in your town and in ads where the calls are, at a flat fee, with every call traced back to what it cost.

Usually starts with PRO

5

I got burned by Angi, HomeStars, Yellow Pages or a bundle vendor.

Then you want the opposite: no shared leads, month to month, everything in your name. The terms are written down in the HiVis standard.

Usually starts with the HiVis Blueprint

6

A season or a big project is coming.

Fall for heating trades, spring for exterior trades, and the 2026 to 2028 Blackwater and hospital ramp for industrial services. The build takes 21 working days from content received, so start before the rush.

Not a fit

If you’re shopping on price alone, I’m not your guy.

Saying no is how the promises on this page stay true. If it’s not a fit, I’ll say so in the first reply.

  • Shops booked a year out that no longer advertise. You’re a referral source, not a buyer. Send me a name instead.
  • Anyone who wants a promised top spot on Google, or pay-per-lead pricing. I don’t promise rankings and I don’t sell leads. You get a flat fee and a call log you can check.
  • Owners who don’t return calls. Marketing can’t fix a phone nobody answers.
  • A shop whose competitor in the same town is already my client. One client per trade per town: I will not take your competitor, so I will not take you either.
  • Businesses outside the Trades: restaurants, realtors, retail.

Proof · an exterior and seasonal trade

A Prince George paving contractor: requests from ready-to-hire customers in two months of work.

Epic Pavement is a paving and asphalt maintenance contractor in Prince George, founded and run by Dennis Kuebler: parking lot line painting and cleaning, asphalt repair, crack filling and snow removal, commercial and residential, across Central and Northern BC. When I started in March 2026, the website looked unfinished, ranked for almost nothing and had zero tracking installed.

Two months of billed work later, the site holds first-page positions for its core services and brings in requests from ready-to-hire customers. Several have booked, some of them over $10,000. Dennis says it in his own words in the case study.
